Address, year of construction, type of construction, type of roof, residential units and the area determined according to specifications. Also note rentals, vacancies and parts used for commercial purposes.
Renovations and equipment
Years and extent of replacement of roof, water, heating and electrical pipes. Plus heat pumps, photovoltaics, garages, carports and outbuildings.
Value and desired protection
Existing valuation, previous policy and desired deductible. Check fire, tap water, storm/hail and additional natural hazards separately.
Previous insurance and claims history
Previous insurers and prior claims by cause and the period requested. For condominiums, first obtain the contract from the owners' association.
