How the comparison works
- The calculators ask for the details needed for the respective tariff and show the calculated tariffs.
- By default, the calculators for travel health insurance, supplementary dental insurance, legal expenses insurance, home contents, buildings, term life, accident and private health insurance sort by premium (lowest first). Electricity and gas are sorted by the monthly comparison price in the first year including bonuses taken into account, internet by the average price over 24 months including benefits taken into account.
- For home contents, buildings, term life, accident and private health insurance, the results can alternatively be sorted by "Best benefits".
- For mobile tariffs and current accounts, the default order is the order of the tariff source. The overview of health insurance funds is sorted by additional contribution.
- In these calculators, Praedurion does not sort by the amount of a commission.
- The tariffs available through Praedurion's comparison access are compared, not automatically the whole market.
- The tariff calculators use data from comparison portals in Praedurion's own interfaces. Electricity, gas and internet: CHECK24 and Verivox. Current account: CHECK24. Mobile tariffs: Verivox.
- A calculation result or a submitted application confirms neither a contract nor insurance cover.
How Praedurion earns money
- Praedurion receives a commission (courtage) from the insurer or provider for brokered contracts. For insurance, an ongoing portfolio commission is added.
- This is why the comparison is free of charge for customers. When customers conclude a contract online, the provider pays the commission to Praedurion.
- For a brokered contract, the remuneration is usually included in the insurance premium and paid by the insurance company.
- Exception: the eVB for short-term licence plates is a paid service (€80).
- If a different remuneration model applies to a specific service, you will be informed before any chargeable activity begins.
Contact and supervision
In disputes between insurance intermediaries and policyholders, out-of-court arbitration bodies are available. The permit and the entry in the intermediary register are issued by the competent Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
